in 1934. He was captain of the varsity football team and president of his graduating class.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He lettered in football and track at Urban Military Academy in Los Angeles, California. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Dolan entered the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the SS Mark Hanna in World War II and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
junior grade.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Dolan was appointed to the city of Salem physical education staff in 1945 as a teacher of health, physical education and driver&amp;#039;s&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
education. He served as head of the physical education department until retiring in 1979. He was inducted in the Salem High School&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hall of Fame in Nov. 1993.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
