Heussler worked as a landscape gardener, in Newburyport and Salem. Possibly one of the first professional plants-man.
married Abigail Young 1753-1799
married second: Elizabeth 'Jenny' Lunt, the widow of a Mr. Stephens and the mother of Abigail Heussler date unknown.
father of:several including Abigail Heussler Smith 1803.
He is buried in the Old Burying Ground on Charter St.
