Lords of Salem, a 2013 horror film written, directed and produced by Rob Zombie. Known as a heavy metal musician with his band White Zombie, Rob Zombie turned to movie-making in 2003, with his film House of 1000 Corpses.
Movie Synopsis: Heidi, a radio DJ, is sent a box containing a record -- a "gift from the Lords." The sounds within the grooves trigger flashbacks of her town's violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the Lords back to take revenge on Salem, Massachusetts?
The film stars: Sheri Moon Zombie, Bruce Davison, and Jeff Daniel Phillips.
In Nov. 2011, Zombie filmed local shots for his movie in Salem. He used several locations including the Salem Willows, Engine House Pizza and a house on upper Essex Street. Next, he will shoot interior scenes in Los Angeles studio.
