Malcolm H. Miller (10/30/1930-9/5/2014) was a poet from Salem.
He attended St. John's Prep on a full scholarship. After serving in the Navy, he went to McGill University in Montreal
in the 1950's where he became friends with Leonard Cohen, the poet, novelist and singer-songwriter.
He had three books formally published in the late 1960's and 70's. "The Emperor of Massachusetts: Poems, Mad and Sane", "The Summer
of the True Gods" and "The Kings Have Donned Their Final Masks" by Tundra Books.
Miller's papers are archived in the Phillips Library collection at the Peabody Essex Museum and in the libraries of Salem State and McGill Universities.
He is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in the veterans section.
