Grapevine Restaurant was a popular Italian inspired restaurant on Congress Street in Salem. Opening in 1988, co-owners Stacey Ray Fraser and Kate Hammond made this into a hot spot in Salem.
Kate Hammond's resume included stints at the Sheraton Boston, the former Rosalie's Restaurant in Marblehead, and the former Cafe LaFortuna.
The original owners, Stacey Fraser and Kate Hammond, sold the business to Kristin and Harry Zarkades in 2012.
Kate Hammond has gone on to be a chef at Shubie's Market in Marblehead.
The Grapevine closed their doors in January of 2015.
Presently, there is a new restaurant called "Antique Table" in the Grapevine's old location.
