Kathleen Kent (1953-) is a ninth-generation great-granddaughter of Martha Carrier, an accused "witch" of 1692.
She has written two Salem-based novels, the Heretic's Daughter and The Traitor's Wife. Both novels have appeared on international best-seller lists and been
translated into several languages.
