Lucius B. Packard built Packard automobiles in 1895-96 at his shop on the corner of Liberty and Derby Street.

His trade was a wheelwright and a cabinet maker and a real Jack-of-all-trades.

He built both a three wheel and four wheel Packard electric automobile.

He died in 1914.
