Scarlet Letter has been made into both film and television versions over the years. Film adaptations of Nathaniel Hawthorne's famous novel:
1995: "The Scarlet Letter" directed by Roland Joffe. He decided the Pioneer Village site was too small, so he filmed it in Nova Scotia. The main actors were Demi Moore (Hester Prynne), Gary Oldman (Rev. Arthur Dimmesdale) and Robert Duval (Roger Chillingworth)
1979: "The Scarlet Letter" 4-part T.V. drama produced by WGBH Boston. Meg Foster plays Hester Prynne and John Heard plays Arthur Dimmesdale. This won an Emmy award.
