Wayne Miller (Jan. 31, 1913 - Nov. 19, 1976) was born in Salem and lived at 198 and 196 North Streets as a young man.
An outstanding football player, after a great career at Salem High School, he went on to play for the University of Notre Dame and the Washington Redskins.
He was known for his clutch play as an offensive and defensive end.
