  • Born in Salem, "Pep" Cornacchio was an excellent athlete and played football, basketball and track at Salem High School.
  • Known for his friendly demeanor and affable nature, he was on numerous volunteer boards to do with sports. He espoused team play and instilled discipline in young athletes.
  • He has received numerous awards over the ears, including the prestigious city of Salem's Lifetime Service Award. Pep Cornacchio Square is dedicated in his name, paying homage to him near his revered Bertram Field.
