Puleo's was founded by Charles Puleo.
Puleo's Dairy was founded in 1928 and run their business on Highland Avenue since 1940. They were known around town for their home delivery service of fresh milk and their seasonal ice cream stand.
In 1989, the Highland Ave. facility was remodeled and enlarged.
In the summer of 2009, Puleo's opened a store front selling ice cream in downtown Salem at 133 Washington Street.
