Lifebridge

Lifebridge, the former Salem Mission, which provides housing and services for the homeless operates from the campus of the old St. Mary's Church complex. They offer educational programs and transitional apartments as well.

Lifebridge raised $220,000 at the annual event, "Together for Women: A Lifebridge Conversation" in 2026. A luncheon was centered on the theme, "Aging with Dignity" and discussed accessibility needs for aging women facing homelessness. Lifebridge Board Member Laura Tyrrell announced that a new building has been purchased to be used as a women-only shelter. The new building will be called River House.
