Puleo's was founded by Charles Puleo.

Puleo's Dairy on Highland Avenue was founded in 1928 and has operated a small eating establishment there since 1940. They were known around town for their home delivery service of fresh milk.

In the summer of 2009, Puleo's opened a store front selling ice cream in downtown Salem on Washington Street.
