Jenkins, Twinny

Lucille Ethel Morin, artist, was born on May 6, 1922. Called "Twinny" from infancy (in memory of her deceased twin), she attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and Salem High School. She married Paul Jenkins in 1947 and spent most of her life in Salem raising her three children. Around 1967, she began a career as an artist, painting and sculpting prolifically for the next 35 years. She exhibited in galleries and public spaces in Boston and surrounding North Shore area where her work was admired by many. In later year, she converted her home into an art museum. The grounds featured a sculpture garden, where some of her larger metalwork was displayed. In 2002, she retired and moved to Rhode Island, where she was close to her daughter Barbara.
