Puleo's was founded by Charles Puleo.
Puleo's Dairy was founded in 1928 and has run their business on Highland Avenue since 1940. They are known around town for their home delivery service of fresh milk and their seasonal ice cream stand.
In 1989, the Highland Ave. facility was remodeled and enlarged.
In the summer of 2009, Puleo's opened a store front Puleo's Ice Cream Shop selling ice cream in downtown Salem at 133 Washington Street.
