The Record Exchange is a long-time vinyl and audio cd store in downtown Salem. Their address was 256 Washington Street, though they began a few blocks away on Lafayette Street, 43 years ago.

The 43-year owner and founder of the shop was Ross (Skip) Kolhonen, who passed away Dec. 1, 2017.

Two of his long time workers are Paul Bazylinski and singer Barrence Whitfield.
