The Ruck House stood at 8 Mill Street.
According to Donna Seger, it was a where a "very old and storied house built around 1650 and razed, by my best estimation, around 1902."

The house has ties to John Adams and painter John Singleton Copley.
In an article "History of Pioneer Village"(cited below) "Dow also created a pond with two islands to simulate the Mill Pond and the 12 buildings were arranged near the pond in clusters. One of these buildings was the Ruck House, which was a historic building that had been moved from the site of the newly constructed Post Office at the time."
