There are five examples of seventeenth century houses in Salem, also known as "First Period" houses.

1. Gedney House (1665), 21 High Street

2. House of the Seven Gables (1668) 115 Derby Street

3. Jonathan Corwin House [aka the Witch House] (1642-1675), 310 Essex St.

4. Narbonne House (1675), 71 Essex St.

5. John Ward House (c1684), Brown Street
