  • The famous filmmaker, Otto Preminger made the film, Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon in Salem in 1969. The film starred Liza Minnelli in the lead with Ken Howard and Robert Moore.
  • The movie is based on a novel by Marjorie Kellogg, who also wrote the screenplay. It is about a California nurse. Kellogg described the plot as a love story about three handicapped people who meet in a hospital and learn to live with their problems.
  • They filmed at the Salem Hospital a week and then filmed in the Boston and north of Boston area for eight weeks.
  • The movie featured a "scandalous" nude scene in the Braintree cemetery.
  • It was released in movie theaters in 1970.
