Ward Three World War I Memorial is located at 50 Dalton Parkway. Erected by the citizens of Ward 3 in approximately 1920 to honor the men and women who served in World War I.

The words read on top center of relief plaque, raised:) HONOR ROLL/ERECTED BY/THE CITIZENS OF WARD THREE OF SALEM/TO COMMEMORATE THE PATRIOTIC SERVICES/OF THESE MEN AND WOMEN IN THE WORLD WAR/(List of 291 names in five columns follows)/IT IS SWEET AND NOBLE TO SERVE/ONE'S COUNTRY IN HER HOUR OF NEED .
