Welch, Jack

Jack Welch (born John Francis Welch, Jr. on Nov. 19th, 1935) is a chemical engineer, businessman and author.

He was Chairman and CEO of General Electric from 1981-2001.

Welch grew up in Salem, living on 15 Lovett St., and attending Salem High School and UMass Amherst.
