Brunonia Barry (1950-) "Born in Salem, Barry studied at Green Mountain College in Vermont, the University of New Hampshire and Trinity College in Dublin", according to Legendary Locals of Salem.

Barry had many different writing experiences, from writing scripts in California to teenage fiction series Beacon Street Girls and spent time in Chicago as well.

Returning to Salem with her husband Gary, she published her first novel, in 2009, the Lace Reader, set in Salem, as well as her second book, The Map of True Places.
