Moby Duck Tours operated for about four years in Salem, from about 1998 to 2001.
Moby Duck had been using a state ramp at Winter Island for their amphibious vehicles.
They stopped operating in 2001 when the State Public Access Board banned all commercial amphibious vehicles from using state ramps and would grant no exceptions. No alternative site was found, so the Duck Tours had to stop operating.
Moby Duck tours use converted military amphibious vehicles in their tour boats.
