Farnham, Edwin P.

From Salem Links and Lore

Rev. Edwin P. Farnham was the pastor of First Baptist Church in Salem for more than ten years.

He emphasized religious activity among young people, serving as vice-president to the Young People's

Society of Christian Endeavor. He took an interest in public affairs and was president of the Kindergarten

association.

Born in Litchfield County, Ct. in 1849, he graduated from Brown with the class of '73, then entered Rochester Theological seminary, graduating in 1877.
