  • The trolley tours were founded by Gloria Lampropoulos. The business was purchased by David Butler and Jim Hurrell in 2009.
  • The Salem Trolley hosts approximately 100,000 tourists yearly.
  • The trolley operates as a touring company, as well as transportation and charters, including operating for weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and other events in Salem.
  • In 2026, the Salem Trolley announced that they will no longer be free for Salem residents in the months of June through September, which had been the practice since 2013. The city decided not to subsidize the program for the 2026 budget.
