Wesley United Methodist Church
From Salem Links and Lore
The Wesley United Methodist Church on 8 North Street was dedicated on July 31, 1888. The church was designed by Lawrence B. Volk of New York.
The architectural style of the church would be described as "Romanesque Revival, with round-arched windows and door apertures, concave pyramidal-roof nave and corner spies, and slightly projecting wall buttresses" according to Bryant Tolles in his book, Architecture in Salem.
The church was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
Lafayette Street United Methodist Church (1910) and Wesley United Methodist Church (1888) merged in 1994.
