2024 Summer Reading
As you spend time with friends and family and enjoy the outdoors this summer, we hope you continue reading! Below are suggested reading titles for various age groups that may help guide students in selecting books. Visit our library’s catalog to place holds on your chosen books or borrow them electronically through Libby or Hoopla.
If a Salem school does not have a specific reading list or summer reading requirements, they will usually have suggested reading pulled from the following resources:
- The 2024 Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Summer Reading Lists:
- Massachusetts Children’s Book Awards (MCBA)
- The Children’s Book Council (CBC)
- We Need Diverse Books (WNDB)
